Service operator and contracting party
Your agreement is with ZHONGYI JIA, the mainland China individual identified in the Operator Disclosure. Dodo Payments acts as merchant of record for paid checkout, payment processing, invoices, refunds, and transaction-tax handling. The hosted checkout identifies the seller and final charge before payment.
Agreement
By creating an account or using an authenticated RetireStride feature, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. Anonymous access to the public calculator is also subject to the service-use and educational limitations below.
Educational service, not advice
RetireStride provides general educational calculations and planning organization. It does not provide individualized investment, securities, tax, accounting, insurance, legal, Social Security, or Medicare advice. RetireStride is not acting as your broker, investment adviser, fiduciary, attorney, accountant, or tax professional.
Estimates and assumptions
Results depend on the values you enter and on simplified methodology. Returns, inflation, income, taxes, benefits, healthcare costs, laws, and personal circumstances can differ materially from an estimate. A result is not a promise, guarantee, offer, recommendation, or determination that a plan is suitable for you.
Your account and data
- Provide accurate account information and use a unique, strong password.
- Do not share credentials or use another person's account without authorization.
- Review saved assumptions and results before relying on them for further planning.
- Keep your own copies of information you need; availability is not guaranteed forever.
Price, payments, and refunds
Free tools remain available for $0. Planner is a monthly or annual subscription at the price and billing interval displayed immediately before checkout. The launch offer is $9.90 USD per month for the first 50 active memberships; the planned standard monthly price is $14.90 USD and the annual option is $129 USD when available. Taxes may be added where required. There is no free trial.
Planner renews automatically at the monthly or annual interval selected at checkout until cancelled. A renewal reminder is sent at least five days before the next charge when an email address can receive service notices. You can cancel through the billing portal; cancellation stops future renewal and access normally continues through the paid period. Refund eligibility is defined in the Refund Policy. Using free tools never authorizes a future charge.
Optional connected accounts
Planner may connect up to two supported bank or credit-card institutions through Plaid. Connection is optional. RetireStride receives an encrypted provider access token and, after a separate connected-data acknowledgment, stores normalized account, balance, transaction, merchant, category, and synchronization data. RetireStride does not receive your bank password and does not store arbitrary raw Plaid responses.
Connected data can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, miscategorized, or unavailable. Transfers, income, pending entries, and credit-card payments are excluded from the spending estimate even though the normalized entries remain in the connected history. Brokerage, IRA, and 401(k) holdings are not synchronized without a separately enabled product and authorization. Review every summary before explicitly applying it to a planning scenario.
Third-party sign-in
Google sign-in is optional. Your use of Google's identity service is also subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices. RetireStride may suspend a linked sign-in method if identity verification, security, or provider availability requires it. A Google sign-in does not give RetireStride access to Google financial data.
Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply to Google's processing.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse RetireStride, including by attempting to:
- Access another user's data or bypass authentication, rate limits, or ownership checks.
- Upload malware or use automated traffic that disrupts service availability.
- Reverse engineer protected service components except where law expressly permits it.
- Use the service for unlawful activity or to misrepresent professional advice.
Availability and changes
Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. Methodology versions may change when calculations or official reference data are updated. Saved calculation records retain the methodology and engine version used at the time of calculation where the product supports that history.
No warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so those exclusions may not fully apply to you.
Responsibility for decisions
You are responsible for decisions made using the service and for obtaining qualified professional help when appropriate. Before acting on retirement, tax, benefit, insurance, estate, or investment decisions, verify current rules and your circumstances with authoritative sources and appropriately licensed professionals.
Termination and deletion
You may stop using the service or delete your account. Access may be restricted for security, abuse, legal, or operational reasons. Account deletion removes linked live data subject to the backup handling described in the Privacy Notice.
Applicable law and disputes
Mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live are not waived by these terms. Before filing a claim, contact support with enough detail to investigate and seek an informal resolution. The final governing-law, forum, limitation, and service language remains subject to qualified cross-border legal review; registration stays closed until that review is complete.
Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected]. Additional contact guidance appears on the Contact page, and the responsible party appears in the Operator Disclosure.
